After looking through different animal eye photos, I had the idea for trying to paint a whale eye. I came across a beluga whale that looked fascinating. The whales eye was surprisingly detailed and its skin was more textured than I thought. This was a great exercise in working with color and washes. The painting, like all others in the series, is 4” x 4” and has a saw tooth hook on the back for easy hanging.
