Painting this reindeer was a very fun and enjoyable experience! The direction of the fur was so rewarding to capture and the background took a bit of problem-solving to finish. The reference had a yellow background and I didn’t really like that next to the deer. Instead I used another reference to paint the sky yellow, green and blue and I think that contrasts much better.
